TORS has been made easy with the 4th generation DaVinci Robot available at American Oncology Institute, the one and the only one in the Telugu states. Because of slim , smooth 8 mm instruments and with the help of a special FK retractor, we can excise small lesion in deep areas like larynx, oro pharynx, posterior oral cavity where open surgery will have high risk of late recovery, extensive morbid approach and higher leak rates. The magnification, steady ,tremor free endo waisted instruments and 3D vision help onco surgeons to resect these difficult to access lesions especially post radiation post surgery recurrences or a small lesion. One can avoid large incision or pharyngotomies needed to remove them.
